Trainwreck Books is running their first writing contest.

For this contest we are gearing up for a Halloween release and going with the theme - HORROR.

Horror can be anything from psychological to the paranormal. From the supernatural to creatures and monsters. Any short story that you feel will make the reader scared to turn off their lights when they go to sleep.

Prizes

Shortlist Winners: Selected shortlist winning stories will be published in an anthology novel published by Trainwreck Books. Number of shortlist winners will be determined by the number of entries received. Estimated publication date is October 2018.

Grand Prize Winner: The winning entry will be included in the anthology and have their name on the cover of the book

• Submitted stories should be fiction, no poetry or non-fiction or artwork.
• Stories should be at least 500 words and a maximum of 2000 words. Stories outside this requirement will be disqualified from our contest, but can still be published on our website.
• Please send original, unpublished (print or electronic) work.
• New and established writers are welcome.
• No erotic stories or porn.
• Please email stories to TrainwreckBooks@USA.com. Subject: Horror Writing Contest
• Be sure to attach your story as a .doc file.
• One submission per writer.
• Include a short bio in the body of the email.
• Authors whose submissions are accepted will retain all rights to their work after publication.
• Submissions from outside the United States are welcome.
• Stories must be in English.

Deadline is September 15th.  Winner should be notified by October 1st.
